The Central Klamath County Community Action Team is a direct project of Chiloquin Visions In Progress. The CKCCATeam came
into being in the spring of 1994 in response to the 1990 Farm Bill which
authorized the US Forest Service to provide assistance to rural communities. We were initially supported by the Forest
Service; however, since that assistance ended CVIP has provided fiscal
sponsorship and a framework for grant applications, administration and other
assistance as needed.
The Community Action Team has provided a continuous public
forum for discussion of issues, acquired state funding for community projects
and has taken action on community issues. CKCCat is an acknowledged Area Committee under the Klamath County Citizen
Involvement Plan. As such, it is a fully public entity, open to all residents of
its service area, sanctioned to advise the County Planning Commission on land use
matters. It also provides a public forum for discussion of other community
issues, and can develop projects based on community decisions and seek funding
for such projects. We serve the communities of Modoc Point, the greater
Chiloquin area, and Fort Klamath.
Our meetings are open to all residents of these communities,
and we welcome all issues and projects for consideration. The CKCCATeam meets on the first Thursday in the
months of March, April, May, June, September, October and November at 6:30 PM
in the Community Center. Special
meetings are called as required.
